The Art of
Engineering Wood

Consistency is not an accident. It is the result of modern technology, strict selection, and control at every stage of the process—from the log to the final calibration.

Modern Technologies &
Verified Standards

At MaxPly, production is not just about cutting wood. It is about "Production Intelligence"—a systematic approach where high-quality materials meet advanced manufacturing. Consistently high quality is achieved by controlling all stages of the process, ensuring that the technical limits of the wood are respected while maximizing durability and performance.

Accuracy of adherence to certain techniques is critical. Whether it is the moisture content during peeling or the pressure calibration during bonding, every variable is monitored to meet international standards (EN, CARB, FSC®).

From Log to Panel

01

Hydro-Thermal Treatment

Selected logs undergo conditioning in specialized basins to plasticize the wood, preparing it for precise peeling and ensuring smooth veneers.

02

Peeling & Drying

Logs are rotated against a lathe to produce ribbons dried to specific moisture contents (6-8%) to prevent warping and ensure stability.

03

Grading & Repair

Optical scanners and expert technicians grade every sheet; defects are repaired or removed to meet visual and structural criteria.

04

Gluing & Layup

Veneers are coated with precise adhesive amounts and stacked with alternating grain directions (cross-banding) for maximum dimensional stability.

05

Pressing

A two-stage process: cold pressing sets the assembly, followed by hot pressing under high pressure to permanently cure the bond.

06

Calibration & Finishing

Panels are trimmed to size, calibrated for uniform thickness, and sanded. Surfaces are filmed or coated if required before final quality control.
